Just beyond the golf course at Hankey, this reserve of ancient Yellowwood and White Stinkwood trees is home to a variety of forest birds. A steam runs through the picnic site, where there are braai facilities and toilets. There is a small fee levied at the gate and the best time to visit the reserve is in the early morning.
Species often seen include the Tambourine Dove, African Firefinch, Green Woodhoopoe, Thick-billed- and Village Weaver, Lesser Honeyguide, Grey Cuckooshrike, Olive and Knysna Woodpeckers and Knysna Turaco.
