A Pelagic Trip from St Francis Bay

Athol Emmett - 07.06.19

Thanks to Jo Buggs Balmer, I enjoyed a "gentle" introduction to a pelagic trip to find and photograph some sea birds off the coast of St Francis on Saturday, 1 June 2019. We travelled about 80kms out of Port St Francis. It was a beautiful day, no wind – but it also meant that we were unlikely to find many birds. Anyway, I am happy with the birds I was eventually able to photograph – most came out better than expected. Take a look at some of the birds we encountered on the pelagic trip.
